According to numerous outlets Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Trey Songz, Lauren London, Tia Mowry and Djimon Hounsou, Trey Songz are all set to star in playwright/director David E. Talbert's rom-com, Baggage Claim, for Fox Searchlight. The movie will be based on his best-selling debut novel about a flight attendant with thirty days and thirty thousand miles to find a husband.
Talk about black star power Hunty, the film will also have cameos from Paula Patton, Derek Luke, and Octavia Spencer as cast members, with Patton playing our husband-seeking flight attendant.
Here's a brief synoposis of the film:
Pledging to keep herself from being the oldest and the only woman in her entire family never to wed, Montana embarks on a thirty-day, thirty-thousand-mile expedition to charm a potential suitor into becoming her fiancé. Whom will she choose? Damon Diesel, a P. Diddy wannabe; Reverend Curtis P. Merewether, pastor of Greater House of Deliverance, Tabernacle of Praise, Worship, and Miracles; pompous attorney-turned-councilman Langston Jefferson Battle III; or Quinton Jamison, a multimillionaire who's twenty years her senior?
Sounds interesting enough right? I hope it's as funny as 'Think Like a Man'. Oh and that soundtrack better be off the hook too. Folks the black romantic comedy is back and in full effect! Will you be watching?
